What is The Integration?

The Integration is a 9-level system founded by Matt Husino in 2026. It brings together traditional Japanese Martial Arts and the Enneagram to create a clear path to personal development.

Through years of rigorous training and deep psychological work, Matt began to see repeating patterns between two worlds (Martial Arts & the Enneagram). Both worlds were aiming to get to the same destination: a fully integrated, embodied individual. Each world offered valuable frameworks for this growth, with its own truths, language and symbols (maps).

The Integration is the point at which these two worlds finally intersect. It invites the individual to embody Martial (physical) mastery and, at the same time, Enneagram (mental and emotional) mastery in order to heal and become the Integrated Self*.

Martial Arts Lineage

The Integration is rooted in martial arts as a path of discipline, embodiment, awareness and self mastery. It draws from traditional foundations as well as modern training methods and additional systems that deepen practical skill, adaptability, and real world application.

Rather than belonging to only one narrow expression of martial arts, The Integration honors the wisdom of lineage while recognizing that growth often requires cross-training, refinement and direct experience. The martial side of the system teaches presence under pressure, physical (Gut) level intelligence and the ability to act with clarity and purpose.

Enneagram Lineage

The Integration is also deeply informed by the Enneagram, including type structure, Tritypes®, instinctual patterns, and the movement toward wholeness. Matt encountered Tritype® and Katherine Chernick Fauvre’s work in 2024 and quickly felt drawn by the depth and breadth of her years of research and knowledge. At the time Matt had already learned about MBTI and done some research on other personality typology; but the Enneagram and Katherine’s Tritype® offered something much deeper than surface level explanation of a person’s behavior; it went straight to the motivations of why we do what we do. Matt began meeting with Katherine as a guide and mentor for deeper work in 2024 and started the certification process with her in 2025 and is expected to be certified by the end of 2026.

What began as a passion has evolved into something more. The Integration has become a living school of innovative ideas and experiences physical (Gut) emotional (Heart) and psychological (Head).

What is unique about The Integration; is the intention behind it. Each class takes a different shape and form based on who is in the room, what level we are emphasizing (Gut-Heart-Head) and the theme for the month and week.
